Hi! I am happy that you landed here in the world of Gaudy Language, a project that I’ve been working on for the better part of seven years. I have changed hosting spaces a few times and unfortunately, I’ve lost posts along the way, but I’m excited with each new iteration. This has been a passion project, and Gaudy Language has become a space for me to muse, to vent, to wonder, and to explore. (I hope it becomes the same for you.)

 

Who am I?  My name is Jena. I’m a wife and mother of one human child and two furry children- one canine and one feline. I’m a writer, a performer, an artist, and an enthusiastic (albeit untalented) singer.

Who are you?  You might be a business owner, an artist, or someone who is simply interested in the topics on this site.  Regardless of who you are or where you come from, I want this to be a space where you can find support and encouragement in your professional journey and where you can find inspiration in what others have created and built.  Along the way, you can learn about creators everywhere- from those who have started businesses or nonprofits, from writers to interior designers, from those in Hollywood to the graphic designer down the street.
